There is very good sea fishing available from Kingfishers. This can be done by boat or off the sea wall. There are a number of good, skippered boats available for sea anglers. They will go out after many species but – for the brave – will fish for conger eel off the wrecks.

Otherwise, in summer the best fishing is for mackerel and sea bass of which there are many. These can also be caught off the sea wall, even caught with a fly for experts. In winter the dedicated fishermen camp out on the sea wall at night seeking cod.
